If we do have psychic powers, why haven't the scientists found provable evidence of it?
According to this article, they have. But it is very weak evidence. It's just enough to keep the door to psychic powers open without giving us any real connection that can be used to manipulate such powers - assuming that such powers are even manipulable.
If you have read my immediately preceeding article on human development, you will have seen what happens when there is strong scientific evidence in a variety of fields and the findings in those fields begin to point in the same directions. This article shows a very different set of scientific results. The difference is not in the power of the Scientific Method. It is in the degree to which the phenomenon being studied is easy or difficult to measure, and in the maturity of the science that performs the measurement.
This is really a rather interesting subject, especially if one has looked into Buddhism and the various forms of meditation that are practiced there, in Hinduism, in Islam and in (yes) Christianity. Oh, and why does acupuncture apparently work?
There is so much we don't know, and we wrap ourselves tightly in the little bit that we do know so that the unknown doesn't frighten us so much. I don't like being frightened, and I don't like not being able to explain (at least roughly) what is happening. So let's keep reading, studying, and exploring. It is the frightened people who want to stop us.
Ignore them. Keep exploring.
