The news states that the FBI has been ignoring the minor restrictions imposed in the Patriot Act. That's not surprising. President Bush said when he signed the reuathorization of the Patriot Act last March that "he did not feel obliged to obey requirements that he inform Congress about how the FBI was using the act's expanded police powers." Why should he be bound by law like the rest of us. He is King George, annointed by God to be undisputed King of the United States of America with absolute, unfettered power over all Americans and all the world.
So much for the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and nearly a thousand years of English, British and American history. George Bush, by use of signing statements, has eliminated democracy in America.
