My question is how bad are the anti-democratic pro-elitist attitudes that drive the inside the beltway bunch? That is both in the media and in government.
Here is an example:
if Congress once listens to the opinions of actual citizens -- those filthy bloggers and their readers, or grass-roots groups like MoveOn -- that, for Hiatt, is when democracy is imperiled.Go sit through the (short) advertisement for a day-pass at Salon and read Glenn. As you read it and as you read the editorials out of the NY Times and the Washingtom Post, ask yourself how they respond to the needs of the masses of Americans? How do they reflect Jacksonian (and modern) democracy?
