The presumptive Republican nominee will appear with his prospective running mate at a massive rally on August 29, the day after Barack Obama formally accepts the Democratic presidential nomination.The Dayton Daily News reports:
The McCain campaign is hoping to have 15,000 people at the Ohio rally — roughly five times the size of his largest crowd to date.
DAYTON — Tickets are still available for Sen. John McCain's Friday, Aug. 29, rally at Wright State University's Nutter Center in Fairborn. [Snip]The media will not show the empty seats indicating a lack of passion for McCain, but it's going to be difficult to totally ignore.
Tickets are being given away at county GOP offices in southwest Ohio and in Indiana and Kentucky.
