Exports are helping the US economy - but not much

Apparently there is an increase in American exports, so all that laid off American employees need to do is go to work in the booming export industries.

Unfortunately, those booming export industries are all in agriculture, ore or scrap metal. Considering how automated agriculture and mining are, there aren't going to be very many new jobs created in growing corn or wheat or mining ore.

Maybe there are some new scrap metal yards being built? Not much need for education digging out scrap metal, is there? Nor is scrap metal much of a renewable resource. It's more like a once wealthy family that sells the furnishings of its decaying mansion to survive.
