No Republican dares face Rove's treason

Let's look carefully at the treason being committed by the Republican Party. Karl Rove, Bob Novak, and at least one other White House individual destroyed the effectiveness of Valerie Plame and her cover company as covert assets in the battle to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons. What is the response of the Republican Party? The Republicans are fighting hard to protect the traitors against America!

Once again Paul Krugman states that the Emperor has no clothes. In this case it is that the Republicans, led by Karl Rove, have brought about an America in which all Truth is political. Nothing is true unless "The Party" approves it, and deniers are to be destroyed.

It is this destruction of those who deny the Republican declared "Truths" that caused Karl Rove and Robert Novak to committing Treason against America. In outing Valerie Plame as a CIA agent Karl Rove has joined Philip Agee in providing aid and comfort to the enemies of America. CIA agents were killed by Agee's treason. A major CIA project to eliminate nuclear weapon proliferation was destroyed and we do not know how many who worked with the CIA in that effort have been killed.

What is the response of the leadership of the Republican Party to Rove's treason? They have closed ranks to defend Rove and protect him from the punishment he deserves for his crime. They poo poo his actions as unimportant. Ask the CIA if they thought a crime was committed when they forwarded a criminal referral to the Attorney General, or ask Fitgerald as he imprisons Judith Miller. They throw up a fog of irrelevant excuses for Rove's treason. Then people like the Chairman of the Tarrant County Republican Party (Pat Carlson) blame the Democrats for being divisive!

The Republican Party as a whole is now doing and saying whatever they can to protect Karl Rove from the consequences of his treason. As Paul Krugman says, "there are now few, if any, limits to what conservative politicians can get away with [saying]: the faithful will follow the twists and turns of the party line with a loyalty that would have pleased the Comintern."

In their chutzpah the leaders of the Republican Party have become accomplices after the fact in Rove's treason.

The Republicans now constitute a Party which will commit and condone the commission of treason against America to accomplish it's party goals. Treason is not too strong a word for it. The Karl Rove and his defenders in the Republican Party have committed treason against America!
