Katherine Harris loses fourth Chief of Staff

Yesterday's Orlando Sentinel News [Note: scroll down. There is a big blank space at the top of the news article. I'm using Mozilla.] reports that Katherine Harris' fourth Chief of Staff, Fred Asbell, resigned effective June 9 "to pursue other business ventures." She has been a Congressperson since 2002 and this is her fourth Chief of Staff. From the paper:
"Elected in 2002, Harris has been plagued by a series of staff resignations in her congressional office and within her campaign.

Asbell was her fourth chief of staff, coming to the job less than a year ago.

In the past several months, her campaign has lost two campaign managers, a pollster, a chief political strategist, a spokeswoman and a media adviser who had worked with her for a decade."
Considering that she is in a campaign for Senate and not running for reelection, it is not such a surprising development that some of her Congressional office staff might be looking for other positions, but the timing of this one seems to merely demonstrate how hopeless her campaign for Florida Senator really is. If she had a snowball's chance in Hell of winning, Fred Abel probably would have stayed for the chance to operate her Senate office if she won.
