Karl's fate is subject for informed speculation

Jeralyn Merrit over at TalkLeft is trying to decide whether Fitzgerald will file simply false statements and/or perjury charges against Karl Rove, or if he will add obstruction of justice charges.

She points out that anyone who has been before the Grand Jury five times either has already cut a deal, or is jockying for a better set of charges. Rove does not appear to have a deal. She quotes Jason Leopold:
I think Rove's appearance before the grand jury today means he's both still trying to avoid an obstruction of justice charge and putting a final nail in someone else's coffin.[Snip]

After Rove and Hadley, who's left besides Cheney?
The article lays out the facts behind these conclusions.

So. Is Cheney the final target in Fitzgerald's gunsights?

Will Bush dare issue pardons before the November 7th elections? My bet is right after.
