Frist's Presidential hopes going down the drain

Frist has called for a cloture vote on the Bolton nomination according to Steve Clemons. If the vote doesn't go his way, this is going to be one more major failure in his history as Senate Majority Leader. He has already said he is not running for reelection as Senator in 2006 and wants the Republican nomination for President in 2008. He isn't building a good record to base that run on.

Steve Clemons has been following the John Bolton nomination fun and games since they began. His blog The Washington Note is the definitive source of the information on the nomination effort.
