Gov. Ernie Fletcher of Kentucky is enjoying the media saturation from Katrina

Remember Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher? The guy who pardoned all his supporters who had been or who might be indicted in the grand jury investigation of his administration for firing Civil Servants who were Democrats and replacing them with Republican synchophants? You will perhaps even recall that he pardoned them for all crimes committed through last Monday, not just the ones being investigated.

Well, on Tuesday morning Gov. Fletcher went before the Grand Jury himself - and took the Fifth Amendment. See? This is how crooks and Republicans operate. Steal the money and seal the lips.

There is more news at the Lexington Herald Leader, and has been all week. Most of us just haven't noticed.

Gov. Fletcher must really be happy about the saturation coverage of Katrina. Hey, maybe he is even enjoying the fact that Bush and FEMA are doing a more incompetent and crooked job of running a government than he is.
