Once again we get real news from Juan Cole while we get Michael Jackson from cable and the new CBS without Dan Rather. The Shiites and the Kurds have announced that they have reached an agreement to elect a government when the parliament meets on March 16.
Since success in Iraq depends on the existance of an effective government that can provide stability even in the face of the Insurgent efforts to destroy effective government, any movement in this direction is a movement towards peace in Iraq and American troops headed home.
