Why John Bolton should not be confirmed to UN

Steve Clemons is covering the Senate Hearings on the confirmation of John Bolton to the position of US Ambassador to the UN, and doing a good deal of original reporting on Bolton's background.

Clearly, if one-tenth of what Steve writes about Bolton is accurate, the man is a danger to the nation and should not be allowed to clean toilets in the Washington D.C. bus terminal, let alone be sent to the UN.

Steve's April 11 post describes a man who is so self-centered and out of control that he came very close to destroying the six-party talks with North Korea, then did his best to destroy Ambassador Charles "Jack" Pritchard who very skillfully pulled the administration's fat out of the fire and saved the policy that Bolton had tried to destroy.

Bolton does not appear to be a man who can be depended on when it is important. Go read Steve's reporting.
