Ruy Tiexiera reports a survey showing a sharp drop since March in consumer expectation that their financial capability will be maintained. This indicates a likely reduction in consumer spending in the near future.
Since consumer spending makes up two-thirds of total domestic spending, this means an economic slow-down is more likely than it was in March.
It seems to me like the only positive indications for the economy are the 'happy talk' out of the White House.
