Bill Sher at Campaign for America's future point out that the majority of both the House and Senate have passed a bill that would wean America from dependence on dirty fossil fuels. Unfortunately, the Senate Republicans threatened a filibuster, killing it.
I guess the Republicans just can't face a world in which America is not deploying troops into the Middle East so that we can continue to hand the oil companies more and more money.
