Texas Republicans to pass "Bully Reward Act."

The Fort Worth Star Telegram provides another example of the idiot Republicans in our great Texas Legislature screwing it up again.

"Students pestered by bullies would get some relief under a bill tentatively approved Monday by the House.

"This bill simply allows a young person who is being bullied to ask for a transfer to another classroom or another school in the district so that a young man can get away from the bully and get on with his education," said state Rep. Reuben Hope, R-Conroe, who sponsored the legislation.

Under the bill, if students can prove to the school board that their education is being hampered by intimidation from a bully, the student can change classrooms or even schools."

Tell me. How many students does a bully have to harass to get personal instruction? Why is the harassee moved, not the harassor? Who is causing the problem? The one being harassed?

The problem is first the Bully, and second the teachers and administrators who don't want to deal with the problem. Hide the victim, forget the crime. Reward the bully.

True...remove the problem. The bully comes across as having more rights and untouchable. Definately the wrong message. They should be removed and provided help.
