The conservative Michael Barone explains the failed strategies of all the Republican candidates

Michale Barone has become a generally reflexive conservative over the years, but as Ed Kilrore points out he remains a decent Presidential analyst. Here is his take on what each of the various major candidates for the Republican nomination for President in 2008 did wrong. He also points out that the potential candidates for 2012 don't look any more likely to get it right.

His analysis of 2008 looks pretty good to me, and I hope he is right about 2012. I do notice that he does not discuss McCain's desperation choice of Sarah Palin for his ticket, but he is discussing the primary and that was the general election.
