"Intelligent design?" Gimme a break!

John Derbyshaw has a good discussion of the Intelligent Design (psuedo) arguments. Essentially he explains why they are not science, and not even particularly good metaphysics.

As he points out, the IDer's have offered the same, stale arguments for 15 years in spite of the fact that those arguments have been repeatedly destroyed. That merely demonstrates the degree to which ID is a faith-based argument, not a scientific one.

Since science classes are supposed to teach how to think scientifically and ID is clearly not scientific thinking, ID should not be taught in science classes. The Mullahs, Bible-thumpers and other True-Believers have their own classes to populate. Let's keep them from contaminating our science classes.
