Bush's next Supreme Court Nominee

Ruy Teixeira reports the results of a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll on the supreme court nominee to replace Sandra Day O'Connor. Bush will have trouble no matter what kind of nominee he sends up.

In my opinion Bush's effort to shove John Bolton through the Senate in spite of his poor qualifications has severely weakened his ability to get a contentious extreme right-winger through to the Supreme Court. Rove's problems will be a drag on him, also.

It looks like no matter what he does, he will get a bunch of people sufficiently angry at him to cause him trouble. His behavior has been so contentious in the past that no one is going to give him an ounce of trust, so he as no one in the middle who will help him, no matter what he does. This is trouble he brought on himself. With Cheney's help, of course.

Watch the fireworks this Summer, and recognize that Bush is getting the Justice he richly deserves.
