Really. Who gives a shit which candidate some pundit would rather "have a beer with" or go party with? But I guess that is a lot easier to write about than if the "journalists" had to actually understand issues and go out and "report"[*] for a living.
My apologies, journalists, for using that dirty word. There just is no other word that gets at that idea.
"Report" - what a journalist does when he or she is forced to actually work for a living. A rare condition observed less and less during modern political campaigns.
